Description
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a blue disc of four lobes, each bearing a gold disc and separated by two diagonally crossed arrows surmounted in center by a red disc charged with a gold alerion.

Symbolism
The alerion in center is from the arms of Lorraine where the unit saw World War I service.  The four small gold discs represent artillery rounds and denote the units World War II campaign honors earned in the Pacific area.  The arrows allude to the origin of the artillery arms and the blue field symbolizes the Brigades Air Defense mission.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 21 August 1966.
